Water Polo ACT Winter Competition

We hope everyone is enjoying their Easter break whether it be filled with family time, time away from the pool or away representing the ACT. In preparation for the coming Terms 2 & 3, we wish to pass on the following information.
ACT WINTER COMPETITION 2017
WPACT have called for clubs to declare their interest in the upcoming ACT Winter Competition. This year the competition for both Juniors and Seniors will be club based.
The Competition will be played over six weekends across the ACT (Gungahlin and Tuggeranong). Three weekends for Juniors and three weekends for Seniors. Each team will play multiple games across each weekend.
Junior weekends are scheduled for:
- 24-25 June (Gungahlin)
- 22-23 July (Tuggeranong)
- 19-20 August (Gungahlin) - this weekend includes finals.
Please note: that WPACT have decided the Junior age classifications for Winter are:
- U16 (players born 2001,2002 &2003)
- U13 (players born 2004,2005 &2006)
Note: U13s not U14s. WPACT have advised that the under U13s age group was targeted to prepare our U14s for Summer 2017-18
Senior wekends are scheduled for:
- 17-18 June (Gungahlin)
- 29-30 July (Tuggeranong)
- 12-13 August (Gungahlin) - this weekend includes finals.
Grade will be determined based on number of teams entered and ability.
Players (or parents of players) that wish to play in either competition are to let the club know by emailing dragons@grapevine.com.au before Thursday 27 April. WPACT have asked clubs for team registrations on Friday 28 April.
