A 'RITE OF PASSAGE' TOUR
Initiated in 2004, our under 15's tour to New Zealand commenced as an ambitious endeavour by dedicated parents and coaches, aiming to enrich their players' rugby journey. Since then, this tour has evolved into a much valued 20-year Noosa Dolphins Rugby Club tradition, becoming a significant component of the Junior Dolphins program.
Serving as a pivotal point in a players' development, the 'rite of passage' is a 12-month journey of camaraderie, community engagement, and the fruits of perseverance, tailored to guide our boys into young adulthood. For many, setting off on the week-long tour during the mid-year school holidays signifies their first solo trip overseas, without the company of family members.
While rugby remains central, the true essence lies in the shared adventure undertaken as a unified team. Past participants look back on this tour with fond memories, recalling it as an exciting experience that left a lasting impact.
