All tack and other gear will be examined at gear check at the start of the day. Should any of your gear fail gear check, you may be asked to remove or change it. Common appropriate gear includes:
- Well fitting saddle
- Girth with TWO OR THREE buckles
- Stock saddles must have a sir single if it uses a single buckle girth
- Bridle (with or without noseband)
- Approved bit
- WPC saddle cloth
- Risers (optional)
- Protective boots (check discipline)
- Approved whips
Please note that certain disciplines will not allow certain gear (eg. dressage must be ridden in a snaffle bit). Some gear may not be compliant with PCA regulations. Please check Pony Club Australia for more details on appropriate gear.
